John & Charlotte Schlabach
John & Charlotte were both raised in the Hartville area. Charlotte lived just minutes from our home where her parents had an organic vegetable farm. She loved working for her dad on the farm and still loves gardening, both vegetables and flowers. John lived in the Hartville and surrounding area. When he was just a little boy, he lived just a few fields from our home. He was looking out the window one morning and had a vision of our house, where it sets today. ‘God works in mysterious ways’.
Charlotte met and began working for John in a pizza parlor and they ‘fell in love’. Here we are……41 years later, with four wonderful children, thirteen beautiful grandchildren, and living a lifetime dream.
John & Charlotte have many interests; including church activities, singing, gardening, and enjoying quality time with friends and family. Charlotte “Charlie” loves to cook and enjoys getting to know our guests. John has a construction company with our oldest son, Todd. They build ‘post & beam, pin & mortis’ buildings and restore old barns from the ground up! What ever you need —big or small they can do it. They even built our home!
